Gutter Installation & Replacement

Gutters that actually move water away from your home — installed and replaced by the same crew that handles your roof.

Keep Water Moving

Dependable Gutter Installation For San Antonio Homes

Gutters move rainwater away from your roofline before it can pool at your foundation or run down your siding. Without them, water erodes the soil against your foundation and drives moisture into siding, causing rot and mold over time.

Holmes installs and replaces gutter systems using materials from trusted suppliers like Senox. Every job ends with a written quote.

Signs To Watch For

When Gutters Need Attention

Sagging Or Pulling Away

Gutters pulling loose from the fascia board usually mean the hangers have failed or the fascia itself is damaged.

Overflow & Pooling

Water spilling over the sides during rain, or pooling near your foundation, means your gutters aren’t channeling water where it needs to go.

Visible Cracks Or Rust

Cracked seams, rust spots, and separated joints let water escape exactly where you need it contained.

Half The System

Discharge Is Half The Job

A gutter only carries rainwater sideways. What actually protects your foundation is where that water finally comes out — a run that is perfectly clean and perfectly hung will still soak the ground against your slab if it empties two feet from the wall.

So we look at the whole run, not one corner of it. Holmes installs new gutters and replaces old ones, sized correctly for the roofline they hang on. Where the water ends up is part of the quote conversation, not an afterthought.

From The Ground

What You Can See Without A Ladder

You do not need to climb anything to spot most of this. Stand back from the house on a clear day and look along the line: a run that dips in the middle, or has visibly pulled away from the fascia board, is telling you the hangers or the board behind them have given up. Rust blooms and separated joints show up as dark seams from the ground.

Then look underneath. Soil washed out along the drip line, or staining and peeling paint on the wall below one corner, points at water going over the edge instead of through the system. The next heavy rain is a free test — watch where it actually spills.

Before The Quote

What The Free Estimate Covers

Every Holmes job opens with a free, no-obligation estimate, and we look at the full perimeter rather than the one corner you called about — hangers, seams and joints, the pitch of each run, and how the whole thing discharges.

It comes to you in writing, and then you get the honest read: what needs replacing, what is holding up fine, and what can wait. Nothing gets added that you don’t need. A written quote follows before any work starts, and financing is available through our Synchrony Financial partnership if you would rather spread the cost.

Same Edge, Same Crew

Gutters And The Roof Are The Same Piece Of House

The gutter line, the drip edge and the roof edge all live in the same few inches, which is why a roofing company is the natural place for this work. Book it alongside a roof inspection and it is one visit and one crew, not a second contractor to schedule.

It also means we can tell which problem is causing the other. Water backing up at the roof edge and water overflowing a clogged run look identical from the driveway and are not the same fix. If yours turns out to be a roof repair, that is what the written findings will say.

After A Storm

When Wind And Hail Come Through

South Texas hail season runs March through August, and wind is perfectly capable of pulling a run of gutter half off a house in a single evening. Storm or hail damage often qualifies for a claim — our free inspection documents exactly what you’ve got. We only document; we never file or negotiate a claim on your behalf. Your policy and your carrier set the terms; that conversation stays yours.

What we can do is get the roof edge and the gutter line back in order, and hand you a dated, photographed record of what we found. If a storm has just been through, book the look sooner rather than later.

Before You Sign

Worth Asking Any Installer

Did Anyone Look At The Fascia?

New gutters hung on a soft board come loose again. Ask whether the wood behind the run was actually checked, or whether only the metal was priced.

Where Does The Water Go?

Ask what happens to the rain after it leaves the gutter, and why. If nobody can answer that, the quote is for metal, not for a working system.

Registered And Insured?

Texas issues no statewide roofing license, so local checks are the ones that count. Holmes holds San Antonio contractor registration HIC-24-00928 and carries General Liability & Workers’ Compensation.

Common Questions

Gutter Questions, Answered

Do you install new gutters or replace old ones?

What gutter materials do you install?

We install gutter systems using materials from trusted suppliers like Senox. Joshua can walk you through what fits your home and budget.

Do new gutters help protect my roof and siding?

Yes — gutters that are sized and installed correctly keep water from backing up onto your roof edge or running down your siding, which is why we treat gutters as part of a whole-exterior system, not an afterthought.

No. The visit and the written estimate are free and carry no obligation, and the written quote follows before any work begins.

Will insurance cover storm-damaged gutters?

Storm or hail damage often qualifies for a claim — our free inspection documents exactly what you’ve got. We only document; we never file or negotiate a claim on your behalf. Your policy and your carrier set the terms.

Can gutter work be booked with roof work?
