A gutter only carries rainwater sideways. What actually protects your foundation is where that water finally comes out — a run that is perfectly clean and perfectly hung will still soak the ground against your slab if it empties two feet from the wall.
So we look at the whole run, not one corner of it. Holmes installs new gutters and replaces old ones, sized correctly for the roofline they hang on. Where the water ends up is part of the quote conversation, not an afterthought.
You do not need to climb anything to spot most of this. Stand back from the house on a clear day and look along the line: a run that dips in the middle, or has visibly pulled away from the fascia board, is telling you the hangers or the board behind them have given up. Rust blooms and separated joints show up as dark seams from the ground.
Then look underneath. Soil washed out along the drip line, or staining and peeling paint on the wall below one corner, points at water going over the edge instead of through the system. The next heavy rain is a free test — watch where it actually spills.
